Oscar Onyango is a seasoned professional with a foundation in Information System Security (MSc) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BENG), complemented by extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) as a developer, project manager, researcher, and product expert. As researcher at Strathmore University and later working as Head of Product Development at Spearhead Technologies, he led the design and deployment of solutions addressing critical challenges in connectivity and utility management, combining technical ingenuity with strategic vision to empower and inspire people in underserved communities.

Oscar’s expertise in AI and IoT has been honed through his leadership and contributions to impactful initiatives such as Disaster Prediction and Management (DPM), a Framework for TV White Space (TVWS) in Kenya, and Spectrum Sharing in Kenya. These roles have strengthened his technical capability as well as his ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage resources effectively, and deliver impactful results. Oscar is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems and create sustainable impact in underserved communities.
